Engagement Marketing – Creating Action

Engagement is fantastic.  Of course, it takes some time and testing to find out the right type of content that will inspire your community to provide action.  Calls to action actually tell people what they need to do.  As we know social visibility only happens when your community participates.  So, while it is great when people read your content, for the viral nature of social media, it is even better when they like a post, leave a comment, share, repin, or register for an event.  Without a call to action, your content lacks an engagement driver.  This is a missed opportunity.   The best calls to action not only drive engagement with the individual but also inspire more engagement form others and drive visibility to new audiences.

Some examples to inspire engagement:

  1. Take our poll
  2. Register for our event
  3. Tell us what you think
  4. Do you agree or disagree?
  5. What do you think?
  6. Have you experienced this?

Socially visible engagement also provides a big boost to all of your other sales and marketing efforts.  Likes, comments, and reviews are visible to new prospects and add third-party customer credibility to your collateral.  So, the more engagement you generate, the more likely you are to be found by the next person searching for what you have to offer.

What are the key ways that you engage your community?
